One can summarize the properties of polyurethanes

Hardness   A range from 30° SHD A, to 75° SHD D is possible
Tensile Strength   Generally exceeds 25 MPa and may reach 70 MPs
Impact Resistance   Very good
Abrasion Resistance   Five to ten times higher than rubbers
Tear Strength   Two to five times that of other rubbers
Load Bearing   Very high, two to ten times that of other rubbers
Load Deflection & Set   Both are very low
Temperature Resistance   Serviceable from - 32° to + 120° C
Oil & Solvent Resistance   Excellent oil and reasonable solvent resistance
Chemical Resistance   Reasonable to most dilute acids and dilute alkalis
Oxygen & Ozone Resistance   Excellent
Radiation Resistance   better than most other rubbers
Electrical Properties   Very good insulating properties
Bonding to Metals   Excellent bonds to most metals can be obtained
