Yuthane was founded in 1974 to manufacture solid elastomeric polyurethane to specific customer requirements. These polyurethanes bridge the gap between rubbers and hard plastics. Because of their outstanding physical properties, they have displaced successfully steel, iron, nylon, rubbers, wood, leather, phenol resins, etc... in many applications.
As castable materials, they require less expensive tooling compared to compression or injection moulding techniques. Therefore they are ideal for prototypes, trials, research and development, as well as large scale production.

Polyurethane is machinable, can be moulded with metal inserts and bonded to most metals. The combination of so many outstanding properties within a single material distinguishes polyurethanes from other conventional rubbers and plastics.
They are available in a wide range of hardnesses produced by chemically tailoring the material, not by the addition of fillers.
Because of the economy of production, a variety of products can be produced as a `one off` with the same ease as a short or long production run, whilst the material can be soft or hard, flexible or almost rigid.
